Dr. Joseph Allison graduated Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with a BS in Zoology. He then graduated with honors from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1982. Dr. Allison completed his externships at Richmond State School for the mentally handicapped, Herman Eye Center Houston in pediatrics, and UHCO with clinical emphasis on contact lenses and low vision.
In 1992, Dr. Allison was recognized as the first Therapeutically Certified Optometrist in Brazos Valley, and the first Optometric Glaucoma Specialist in Brazos Valley in 2000. In 2013, Dr. Allison was recognized as the first Board Certified Optometrist in Brazos Valley.
Dr. Allison has been a member of Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association for 35 years. Dr. Allison has also served as Secretary and Treasurer of the Piney Woods Optometric Society and President and Treasurer of the Brazos Valley Optometric Society.
Dr. Allison remains active in the community as a member of the local Lion’s Club and Grace Bible Church. When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Allison enjoys hunting, fishing, and playing golf.

Dr. Jordan Mutschink was born in Austin, Texas and raised in Smithville. He attended Texas A&M University and graduated in 2011 with a degree in Biomedical Sciences. From Texas A&M University he attended the University of Houston College of Optometry. Dr. Mutschink has a strong interest in primary optometric practice, ocular surface disease and management of glaucoma. He strives to provide quality therapeutic optometric medicine with an emphasis on patient education and compassionate patient care. Outside the clinic, Dr. Mutschink is an avid outdoorsman. He enjoys hunting, fishing, retriever training and spending quality time with family in God’s creation. Dr. Mutschink is happily married and lives in Ezzell with his wife, Laura, daughter Tinnley and baby boy Jackson.

Dr. Rachel Adcock was born and raised in Victoria. She later attended Texas A&M University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Adcock then continued her studies at the University of Houston College of Optometry. While attending optometry school, she completed internships at both a private practice and a community eye clinic serving the underprivileged population. Through these opportunities, she gained invaluable experience in primary care and management of eye disease. Outside of the office, Dr. Adcock enjoys spending time with her husband and two little girls. She is happy to be back in her hometown and looks forward to seeing you in the office soon!
